Purchased in New York from VeKa, a small women-owned boutique that specializes in unique gowns created by independent labels. Worn once and professionally dry cleaned and preserved by Meurice Garment Care in Manhattan. The price is low because the dress is not as new as others on this website, but it is in excellent condition and should be worn and enjoyed again. Shaped and seamed silk-satin bodice with unique diamond stitched panels softens into a triple-layer silk organza skirt with an underskirt of silk-satin and a slip of silk charmeuse. Palazzo designer Jane White's creations are known for their stunning back details, and this gown is no exception. Train has chain-stitched button loops to lift layers with ease. Invisible zip at center back. Quarter-inch rolled silk-satin straps can be adjusted or removed for strapless style. Very minor imperfections: Three very small, virtually imperceptible dots of discoloration near the bottom hem; storage-related wrinkling on skirt can be steamed away.
