A polyester crepe, lined, fit-and-flare or trumpet dress with a fantastic cathedral length train. It looks unstructured, but has some structured seaming in the bodice. It is zip up only, the buttons are fabric covered and go down the length of the train. Please see photos for the following flaws:
- There is a small snag on the fabric, just below the kickline in the front.
- There are some faint stains under the arms at about the ribcage height on both sides. They look like makeup stains. I didn't notice these stains the first time I gave the dress to the dry cleaners, I just told them to concentrate on the train, which cleaned up nicely. So maybe these can be removed with some attention.
- One bustle button was lost in the fun. Please see photos for the missing button, it is the first one left of center. This is a quick fix.
I am 5'-2" tall, with 24" waist, 31" bust, 36" hips. I spent an additional $350 on alterations, and the dress fit me like a glove.
I recommend my dress to any short pear-shaped brides. I got some surprising compliments, such as "tall" and "statuesque" both of which I am not!!! I loved wearing my dress, and I hope it gets to make another bride feel beautiful and maybe even "tall" or "statuesque" :)
